travel europe france paris la defense le bassin
ARTIST: TAKIS (1988)

Le Bassin de Takis is a rectangular pool, about fifty meters square, with 49 metal rods capped with colorful geometric shapes and flashing lights.
It is located at the bottom of the Esplanade de la Defense above the Seine on the axis with the Arch de Triomphe.
To me, it was more of an oddity than a work of art.
Still, it did cool my feet on a hot day.
